Day 7 - 2014 Trip to Disney

So Day 7 - Saturday morning we ended up sleeping in and forgot to set our alarms. Thank goodness we woke up before our Star Wars Breakfast reservation, but it was quite the rush out the door in order to make it!

We had reservations for breakfast at the Sci-Fi Dine-In which was a special meal with Star Wars characters. Our first meet and greet was with Boba Fett and Darth Vader. Wow were they intimidating! I tried to put my arm around Boba Fett and he glared at me and removed my arm. Darth Vader was also not warm and fuzzy. I was actually a little scared! They were awesome!

Breakfast was amazing. First course were Star Wars themed pastries.

Second course was our choice of a fruit cup or yogurt parfait. We both picked the fruit cup and it came with a Yoda shaped piece of honeydew melon! Too cute.

Kessel Run

For breakfast, Christopher ordered the "Kessel Run" which was steak, egg & cheese souffle and breakfast potatoes. I ordered the "Tattoonee Sunrise" which included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and breakfast potatoes.

For a little dessert a cast member walked around with a cart that had a "bubbling" mixture and handed each of us a strawberry custard with bursting beads. It too was amazing and really fun.

Our other character experiences were amazing. There were two Stormtroopers walking around. They did not like our custom Jedi Master badges and decided to arrest us. Luckily they could be easily bribed by taking a picture with us and having some breakfast.

We also met some Jawas. They loved to steal things and trade with guests. Christopher ended up trading a Maleficent pin with them and got a hair clip, hair tie and some other shiny coin. It was super fun.

We also met Greedo and...he almost stole me away! He was quite the ladys man and kept giving me kisses on my cheek and hand. Christopher was pretty amused.

After breakfast we wandered around. We went back to Darth's Mall to get some pressed coins that were special to Star Wars Weekend. We also checked out the FREE Star Wars Lego Station and built several fighters.

We rode the Rockin' Roller Coaster. Wow-I forgot how powerful the start is. Plus it goes upside down too - yikes! But I survived...except for a horrible ride picture. Christopher said I screamed my head off and the picture looks like I did that and wet myself!

Look! I found Sven!

We then walked over to Epcot to get our last fill of treats and drinks around the world. Christopher got a cronut (surprised?), some German beer and a French martini. I got a pretzel and a French martini. Yummy.

We went back to the resort and hung out at the pool to cool off a bit. It was so warm out again and the pool was very warm too - almost as warm as bath water! But we still cooled off in it.

Look who we found - Merida! She was greeting guests on the International Gateway.

We walked back to Hollywood Studios to catch Fantasmic! While waiting in line we caught up with Mr. Gervase! He was down in Disney with some college students as a chaperone. We ended up with perfect seats for the show. I thought the show was amazing. it included so many characters and movie scenes plus there were so many different show elements. They showed clips on a fan of water - so cool. It was also transparent to show the stage too. There were fireworks, water cannons, fire, boats, on stage acting, etc. It was very entertaining.

After Fantasmic we walked out and into the Symphony in the Stars fireworks show! It is only shown during Star Wars Weekend. I have never seen a fireworks show so perfectly timed with music! IT WAS AMAZING! There was a Death Star firework and a Yoda shaped one too. Then there were fireworks that changed color mid-air! It was so incredible. The finale was so awesome you could feel the force of all of the fireworks going off at once. We were in awe!

Then we went back to the resort and packed :( Luckily Christopher is an expert packer and got everything to fit. We did end up buying a cute new piece of luggage - a Disney hard case carry-on. We used that to pack our Disney souvenirs for the flight home.
