Moore-Kartychak Wedding

On Saturday, after flying home from Puerto Rico, we zipped home, dropped off our luggage and headed straight to my friend, Jennifer Moore, wedding reception! Jenn looked absolutely stunning and her dress fit her like a glove. She also thought of every little detail. For her guest book, she and Joe had everyone sign a calendar on our birthday! How clever! Then she asked all of the guests to leave her and Joe notes to open on their anniversary's (1-5, 10, 15, 25). We had a lot of fun leaving them messages.

The reception was at Ashbury Hall (or Babeville) in Buffalo. It was a beautiful setting and has been totally re-done. The food and cake were absolutely delicious.

Cheers to the happy bride and groom!

The Musialowski's are...

GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!

We are so excited to be going to Disney World for our 2nd Anniversary trip. We tossed around so many ideas and locations, but we always seemed to come back to this one. We are going from 5 days and are looking forward to spending lots of time at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival again.

To keep the excited and anticipation before our trip, I decided to do a countdown calendar at work and list a different fun fact or trivia related to Walt Disney World. So far, my co-workers are loving it!

Now it is off to book restaurant reservations and deciding which park to do on what day. Oh I love vacation planning!

Puerto Rico

So I know that I have been really bad about posting lately. It is amazing how life can get in the way (well...sort of). Christopher and I are currently in Puerto Rico for a week. I had the opportunity to travel down here for work with Praxair. Christopher already had a couple of days off this week so he decided to join me and take the whole week off. Why not right?

We are having a great time! Yesterday I can my last work meeting and was able to enjoy the warmth and pool. So far Christopher has gone on an excursion through the rain forest - hiking, repelling down a waterfall and ziplining. He said that it was an amazing adventure and I am excited to post some of the pictures from his day. We also went into Old San Juan on Tuesday night to walk around, have a couple of drinks and eat one of the most amazing meals I have had in a long time. Wednesday night we went on a kayaking excursion into a Bio Bay. It was like a Disney World ride but BETTER because it was completely real! Although we do have any pictures from that adventure, the memory will stay with us forever! The water actually glowed (we are talking Avatar style) when we touched it, splashed around in it and paddled through it. It was also a great night out. The moon shined through the mangrove we kayaked through and it was very romantic.

Not entirely sure what today will bring. We are thinking about some more pool time, walking around the city for a bit and possibly going back to Old San Juan for our last meal on the island.

Oh and I forgot - last night we ventured down the street to a bar to eat and watch the NFL draft. There were a couple of others there who wanted to watch the draft as well, but I think the bartender thought we were all crazy! It was fun until the Bills made their pick....really?

Christopher is still sleeping off his disappointment this morning. Maybe a trip to Starbucks will help him recover?

E.B. Stopped by Again!

So I was a little sad that the Easter Bunny forgot to leave my basket on Easter Sunday. So when I came home on Monday and found a note on the front door, I was surprised and excited. The E.B. sent me on a scavenger hunt to find my surprise!!! He hid my surprise behind our favorite painting in the house – our waterfall painting we bought on our honeymoon in Hawaii. And my surprise…$50 to Chef’s Restaurant in Buffalo!  That E.B. is pretty special! Looking forward to my date night with Chris.

April Fools

So far, no April fools have been played by the Musialowski’s…8 more hours to go.

We had a busy, but lovely Easter yesterday. Although this is the second year in a row the E.B. forgot me! It can’t be that I am not a good girl, right? Christopher enjoyed his “man” basket and Marv loved his treats too.

Easter with our families was a lot of fun this year. We had brunch with the Leutze’s at Sean Patricks. It is our usual spot on Easter. Almost everyone could make it (except for the majority of Uncle Al’s family). We were all so stuffed when we walked out of there.

Then Christopher, Jonathan and I went back to our house and relaxed for a bit before my mom, Trev and his friend Matt came over for dinner. After dinner, we exchanged baskets and played games for a couple of hours while watching the Sabres game. It was a great time! For dinner we had ham, cheesy potatoes (big surprise, right lol), corn, broccoli, applesauce and dinner rolls. For dessert, mom made mini Oreo cheesecakes and I served the butterscotch bird nests. Another filling meal! Today I still feel full from yesterday!

Today I got to have lunch with Christine. We met up at Chipotle. I had never been there  before and it is pretty good! I always love meeting up with Christine for our lunch dates. It is so nice to see her (and baby Dauksha) and catch up. It is hard to believe we have been friends for over 20 years! I really do not feel that old!
